Boo has been in our care since 2014 and is now ready for adoption. She was previously used as a Western Pleasure horse until her owner became terribly ill and had to surrender her to Finally Home.
When she first came to us, she could be testy and pushy with those she had not learned to trust and respect. After many months in training to gain her trust and improve her manners, she is now a great horse to work with. She is a joy both on the ground and in the saddle. Since her rehabilitation, her personality shines through and she is a barn favorite. She learns quickly and prefers interesting challenges.
Under saddle Boo knows walk, jog, lope, can side-pass, back up, and stop at any vocal that sounds like "whoa." Boo will always require front shoes to remain sound, as she has an insufficient hoof wall which causes her discomfort when barefoot.
We are happy that Boo has been adopted but is still being boarded at Strong Tower Equestrian Center so volunteers can continue to give her some love. She has come so far and is a well mannered great horse.
